L'OASIS LORGUES

A FRESH Expression of Church

Church of England

2009 Spring Programme "What is Church"

Who we are ... ...

We are people who come together on a regular basis to support each other, learn more about the Christian faith by sharing our varied experiences and relating them to our individual journeys in faith and in life.

Though mostly from an Anglican background, we wear no labels and welcome anyone who wants to join us.

What we are ... ...

Chalice

Not a bible study, but we might look at a few verses of scripture; not a prayer group, but we might share our thoughts together quietly; not a social gathering, but we will break bread together and later share lunch and have a bit of fun. In other words, an Oasis of refreshment and Renewal for those passing through. See Meetings

Where we are ... ...

Growing Together

We meet in Lorgues on the second and (as from April 2009) fourth Sundays of the month. Lorgues is in the centre of the Var, which is in the South-east corner of France, better known as Provence. Surrounded by beautiful countryside full of pine forests, olive groves and extensive vineyards, it is a place of spirituality and Christian history. Our home, Arc-en-Provence, is just outside the village and once a month we meet there on the second Sunday. On the fourth sunday we meet in the village at the Maison des Pères with St John's St Raphaël.

L'Oasis Lorgues is part of the call to mission within the Diocese in Europe.
