Second Sunday of the month - 11.15am Arc-en-Provence
Psalm 133 says, "How good it is when brothers dwell in unity" and of course we should add in the words sisters. At our gate is an imaginary box where it seems people leave their labels but not their identities. A cup of coffee is quickly thrust into their hand and gradually the buzz of conversation increases. People arrive about 11.15, and catch up on all the news from other parts of the Var where we live. Lorgues is in the centre of the region and makes a good place to meet and people come from all points of the compass To find us click on "Location". Everyone brings something to put on the table for lunch, which follows the service; and lunch is a leisurely and Provençale affair drifting its way through the afternoon!

Our service is a simple time of prayer and reflection on a passage of scripture when everyone has a chance to add a few thoughts if they want. We then break bread together and everyone is welcome to share that with us if they wish. In the summer months we sit out in the garden in the shade of the pines and the warmth of the sun. As many people "come and go" quite bit during the year, we put our service sheet onto this website before each meeting so it is possible to join with us wherever you are. Fourth Sunday of the month 11.15am Maison des Pères

On the fourth Sunday (starting April 2009) we go up to the village to the Maison des Pères . This is the retirement home of an order of priests who have spent most of their lives living and serving in the real world. They have a beautiful simple chapel there which we can use and they make us very welcome in their home. Everyone , if they want to, brings their own lunch, and we provide coffee or tea. We use the same service as we do at Arc-en-Provence and by going to the Maison des Pères we reach out into the community with St Johns St Raphael in a more traditional way, meeting in a church on a Sunday morning. But it is the same God we worship and the same sense of Fellowship that we experience and of course everyone is welcome there. (See directions)
